Mr. Tudor was born on Thursday, July 9, 1953, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Harvey Henderson Tudor and Emma Sue Pugh Tudor. He passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Paul was a retired machinist with Duriron/Flowserve, where he dedicated 42 years of service. He was the second person hired in the original group trained as machinists when the company began operations in 1978. His work ethic, loyalty, and craftsmanship earned him respect throughout his career.
Following retirement, Paul and his wife, Elizabeth, cherished time together—traveling to the beach, enjoying spontaneous lunch trips, relaxing outdoors on the deck, in the pool or hot tub, or simply being at home watching Gunsmoke and Hallmark movies.
A proud graduate of Monterey High School, Class of 1971, Paul was a member of the school’s first golf team and an accomplished football player. He later enjoyed coaching softball and managing a basketball team. His interests were many and varied, including genealogy, woodworking, yard work, gardening, model trains, geocaching, hunting, fishing, and cooking—where he was especially known for his fried chicken and chicken and dumplings.
Paul was loyal, quick-witted, and a natural jokester—always laughing and smiling. He was well loved wherever he went. A devoted Christian, he loved the Lord and led others to Christ through his life and example.
He is survived by the love of his life of over 51 years, Elizabeth Bilbrey Tudor of Monterey, Tennessee. Together they shared two children: Nicholas Tudor and Paula Tudor, both of Monterey, Tennessee. Paul was a devoted family man who loved his family fiercely, never missing a game or practice, even after long workdays.
He was always ready for a spontaneous road trip—whether for a football game, visiting out-of-state battlefields, or traveling to New York, Hollywood, and Philadelphia, where he once sat in four inches of snow to watch an Army–Navy football game.
Paul was a steadfast support to his mother, father, and his sister Patti and her husband Michael Looper, both of Monterey, Tennessee. He is also survived by his “brother,” Ronald (Carolyn) Bilbrey of Cookeville, Tennessee; sisters-in-law Shirley Bilbrey and Janet Bilbrey, both of Monterey, Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three “brothers,” Donald, Doyle, and Larry Bilbrey, and sisters-in-law Betty Bilbrey and Molly Sue Bilbrey.
