On September 11, 2001, our nation changed forever. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost in less than two hours.

Today, the Highlands Insider will be remembering those moments — from the first tower struck at 7:46 a.m. Central Time, to the final collapse of the North Tower at 9:28.

We’ll share the timeline, stories of courage, voices from our own community, and a livestream of the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Cookeville at 10AM. (Note since we are on the central time zone we have the timeline of events in central time).

We invite you to join us — to pause, reflect, and remember. Because twenty-four years later, one truth remains: We should never forget.

Share with us on Facebook where you were and what you remember. If you were not born yet how / what did you learn about 9-11 / Patriots Day.

For us - we remember our elders saying, "You will always remember this moment. You will always remember where you were and what you were doing." .... And we do.
